What got you into AOS history?

_{What inspired you to become interested in the distant past? Why the interest?

I suppose for me it goes way back, for I live in Swansea Massachusetts. And with such a rich history this particular town has in southern New England, what with King Phillip's War starting not two miles shy from where I live, I guess it just grew up with me.

I never appreciated the past until I got older and into human psychology. And I began to open my eyes to how many interesting things there was in my area alone! Then I began to venture further, and whenever I went to Boston for a day or New Hampshire for a couple of nights I was looking through the history section at bookstores.

History to me is like a window to another world. A place that I can just sit back and admire like someone would do on a mountaintop. I made this club so I can see how many other people are interested in AOS history, and heck if you like other history eras, you're not alone! There's really nothing I don't like in history.

Legends of Capitiane Levrier: The ArmadaCome gather round me hearties... tis time for another tale o' that Great Pyrate Levrier. This one, concerns a battle. The battle to end all battles. Between our eternal foe the Dons, and a Single ship, commanded by a man claiming sovereignty o' the Sea, through the merit of bein' bold enough to seize it. It happened, Levrier sacked a Place called Cartagena. 'Twere City, fit to burst with New World riches. He sacked this city, at the time a few other pirates split from the command of Morgan. they were mostly small time men, bearing strength through alliances with other crews. This man had no such need o' an alliance. His Crew amounted to a tLegends of Capitiane Levrier: The Armada by ~Edward-Smee

Tales of Capitaine Levrier: The Mayan Treasure IIISome Buccaneers armed with muskets quietly stole up the back of the pyramid, while another two detachments went around either side. One Detachment went in Piraguas down a flooded crevice, which luckily, had a high bank to hide them from view of the Spanish. the last walked to the other side, hiding behind the corner, and secreting into ruins beside the pyramid. Unfortunately, Before Levrier could get all his men in place on top, one of the houses occupied with soldiers, sounded the alarm. Levrier led the charge to the top, the guards on the pyramid were killed and the musketeers took their place and began to fire down on the encampment.

Tales of Capitiane Levrier, On a Man's ManLevrier laughed at his friend, Edouard. he was a man of much wit, kindness, and courage. He had saved Levrier's life no less than three times since Levrier had been a buccaneer. Once on a hunt for cattle and pigs, another time on a raid on a small Spanish town on Hispaniola, and lastly in a Sea battle. The old Frenchman clanked his glass with the younger buccaneer. then smirked as his younger partner passed him by. The old man gave him a swat on the ass. the young man turned, and punched the older man, then kissed him on the cheek and walked off. Levrier burst into laughter.

Help and FAQ;

- Submissions?; "What can and can't I submit?"

Well, there isn't really anything you can't submit here, except for a few exceptions...

The Age of Sail is generally the time between the 16th - middle 19th century, (1500's - mid 1800's).

Ex; WWII, Greek-Roman, BC time, are not topics this club would theme.

So it would not be the best of ideas to submit anything not related Age of Sail time periods, but don't get me wrong, that's a long time frame to choose from!

- Fanart/Fanfiction; "Can I submit something movie/novel related?"

Some clubs seem to limit or not allow any fanart or fanfiction work into a history group, but here you way more than happy to! As long as it is a movie, book, or tv show related to the era.

Ex; Pride and Prejudice, Girl With the Pearl Earring, Shakespearean novels, Pirates of the Caribbean, Master and Commander, are a few of things that are readily accepted.

- Wars/Historical Happenings; "Can I submit something related to wars/happenings?"

Oh of course! Anything and everything you can think of. From Columbus to discovering America, to the Revolutionary Wars, and anything else you can think of that went on.

- People; "Am I allowed only submitting of real historical people?"

Oh heck no! You can submit fictional characters [books, movies, ect], historical people of the era, yourself and OC's (original characters), and anthromorphic comrades as well. There's no limit to what you can do!

- Sorts of Art; "Is it one kind of art and one thing only?"

Nope! It can be anything that's considered an art form!
